Traditional Timeshare
Vacation ownership has definitely evolved over the past 30 years. Traditionally people would purchase a timeshare week at a single resort for a fixed period of time every year. This system is restrictive and does not offer the flexibility and location choices that many couples and families desire today.

A New Evolution
In the last 15 years a new concept in vacation ownership began to evolve. A system was developed that allowed vacation owners to purchase an allotment of vacation credits in a Club system. Vacation clubs give members access to resorts within a resort group, under a variety of different plans. In credit-based programs, owners purchase credits that can be redeemed for access to various types of accommodations, resort locations, amenities, number of days use, and other travel services. Credit-based programs appeal to owners because they provide the flexibility to design their own vacations.

How it Works
A member purchases a set of credits that are renewable every year (Annual Membership) or every other year (Biennial Membership). These credits are deposited into your account for use at any of the locations within the Club. The size of unit can range from a standard Studio unit up to a 3 bedroom unit, depending on the resort you choose. The member simply “withdraws” the credits from his/her account and redeems them according to the credit values set by the Club. The credit values will vary depending on the resort, the season and unit size. The table below shows an example of credit values for a particular resort:
